System i Integration with BladeCenter and System x


Description: 

Develop the skills you need to plan, install, configure, manage, and support running integrated servers on an Internet Small Computer System Interface (iSCSI) Host Bus Adapter (HBA) attached System x or Bladcenter servers, an Integrated xSeries Server (IXS), or an Integrated xSeries Adapter (IXA) attached xSeries Server. Learn the concepts, terminology, and hardware that are related to the System i integration environment. Through lecture topics and hands-on exercises, explore installation requirements and procedures, TCP/IP communication configuration, including Virtual Ethernet (VE), storage space, user id administration, backup and restore procedures, problem determination techniques, and look at high availability options.
