Description: 

Enterprise JavaBeans are a J2EE technology that help you build distributed applications that use transactions, security and automatic persistence. This course teaches students how to code and configure EJBs to create distributed middleware applications.  

Audience: Developers who will write J2EE applications using EJBs

  • IBM WebSphere Studio Application Developer
  • Oracle J2EE Containers

Topics covered include:

  • Session EJBs, both stateless and stateful
  • Entity EJBs, both container-managed persistence (CMP) and bean-managed persistence (BMP)
  • Message-driven EJBs (MDB)
  • Container-managed relationships (CMR) and local interfaces
  • EJB design patterns
