This 12-week intensive program immerses participants in the roles of cutting-edge UX Specialist and UI Designer. Throughout the Bootcamp, participants are introduced to innovative industry tools and technologies: Figma, Mural, Adobe XD, Tableau, HTML, and CSS.

Why a workshop-style format?
• Minimizes straight lectures as much as possible, making the boot camp more interactive.
• Participants will design, code, and build interactively with the instructor rather than following a tedious lecture-lab-lecture-lab cycle.
• Participants do not wait until a lab to get their first hands-on experience with a topic.
• Action-oriented, incorporating more examples, heuristics, prototypes, thought experiments, group activities, and real-life scenarios.
• Students build a portfolio of “before and after” projects that will demonstrate their skills to potential employers for career advancement.

NOTE: The six topics listed will be covered over the duration of the 12-week bootcamp
1. UX Foundations
Learn to apply the key understandings about human vision, intellect, memory, and motor functions directly to design decisions.
2. User-Centered Analysis and Conceptual Design
Learn the methods and concepts to analyze user-centered design requirements, create conceptual designs, and lead design thinking sessions that are human-centered and innovative.
3. The Science and Art of Effective UI Design
Learn how to apply research-based and field-tested web and application design principles and methodologies to create usable and effective user interfaces.
4. Agile Product Management
While learning the basics of HTML and CSS, learn to work in an Agile development environment, manage stakeholders and constraints, and measure KPIs.
5. Practical Usability Testing
Learn practical usability testing techniques, ranging from simple paper prototype tests to advanced surveys, to utilize throughout the entire design life cycle.
6. Capstone Project and Presentations
Create a complete application design, including user research, ideation, conceptual design, UI prototyping, and user testing.
